About Youth Empowered

Technology plays a prominent role in our society especially with youths being exposed to technology from a young age. Learning is at their fingertips as they can get answers in seconds from searching on the internet. To parents, most will strongly agree that technology is a double-edged sword as youth become dependent and overly-reliant on it for everything. Youths are vulnerable targets of cyberbullying, cyberpredators, cyber scams and even losing private information through phishing emails.

Our #YouthEmpowered Digital Programme 2019 aims to empower our youths with the following learning objectives:

N

Discernment of Fake News

N

Understanding Cybersecurity

N

Learning about Inappropriate Content

N

Creating a social media viral campaign

N

Understanding Cyberbullying

N

Providing Tools for Parents and Youth

(cyberpredators and preventing excessive internet usage)
